Ruth brings a dynamic background in communications, community engagement, and strategic storytelling to her new role. With years of experience in digital media, advocacy, and narrative-driven communications, she has supported organizations amplify their impact and build meaningful connections with diverse communities.
Most recently, Ruth served as a Princeton in Latin America fellow, applying her expertise in communications, development, and project management to support Indigenous women-led justice initiatives in Guatemala. Previously, she led content creation and cross-team collaboration as Creative Content Manager at DSST Public Schools in Denver and Aurora, Colorado, working closely with departments focused on advocacy, college access, and community engagement.
A proud University of Colorado Boulder alumna, Ruth holds dual degrees in International Affairs and Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Latin American Studies, along with a minor in Spanish. She is also a founder of the Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) at CU Boulder, reflecting her deep commitment to fostering post-secondary opportunities for Black student success and retention.
Ruth is passionate about the power of storytelling to build connections and inspire action. She is thrilled to join the Sachs Foundation in advancing educational opportunities and racial equity for Black Coloradans through creative communications and alumni engagement strategies.
